We are a small, dedicated veterinary hospital located in High Point, NC, seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) to become a valued member of our close-knit team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures

• Safely restrain animals for exams, vaccinations, and blood draws

• Clean and sterilize exam rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment

• Prepare medications and materials for patient care under supervision

• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinary staff

• Monitor and record patient vitals and behavior during procedures

Client Interaction:

• Greet clients and patients warmly and provide updates as needed

• Educate clients on general pet care, medications, and post-visit instructions

• Ensure accurate documentation in patient records and charts

Kennel & Boarding Support (Occasional):

• Feed, walk, and monitor boarding animals as scheduled

• Maintain clean and sanitary kennel environments

• Recognize and report any signs of illness, distress, or behavioral changes in boarded pets

• Assist with bathing and basic grooming tasks when needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal care (required)

• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and work ethic

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Team-oriented with a positive, flexible attitude
