Position 1- Evening Cashier/Shift Lead

Responsible for opening and or closing the store, must be available evenings and weekends.

OR

Position 2- Back Processor/Clerk

Accept donations, and sort items received, and stock shelves


$9.00 to $10.00 Per hour

Job Description:

Greet customers at Thriftopia, accept donations, and sort items received so we can stock our shelves with amazing thrift store finds!

  • Opening and closing duties.
  • Including unpacking clothing, houseware, books, toys, etc.
  • Organizing and setting out items throughout the store.
  • Some shifts may also have you stocking the floor and running the register; so, the capability to multitask is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Job Requirements:

  • Ability to direct and assign duties to other employees in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Opening and closing the store unassisted.
  • Ability to use and understand cash register software and the ability to correctly count currency used in the store.
  • Employees should possess a positive attitude, strong customer service skills.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled adults.
  • The ability to work independently and with other team members.
  • Employees should have the ability to multitask and quickly move from one task to the next.
  • Ability to sort through and find quality items to place in the store.
  • Employees are required to complete and successfully pass required background checks.
  • Duties as assigned.

Physical Demands of Work Environment:

  • Employees must be able to lift 20-30 lbs regularly.
  • Employees will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to be trained on the powered pallet jack. * Clerks under the age of 18 are not allowed to be trained or operate the pallet Jack.
  • Employees are frequently required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • While performing the duties of this job, employees are occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
