About You
- Be able to do the job as described
- Completion of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- ARRT certification required
- Requires analytical ability to determine proper set-up of equipment and patient, calculate length of treatment and detect adverse reactions to treatments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting
- Passion for serving diverse, urban patient populations
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver accurate, physician-prescribed radiation therapy to patients using modern radiation equipment
- Review treatment plans, dose specifications, and patient charts to ensure precise delivery
- Prepare and position patients for therapy with proper equipment setup
- Monitor patients during sessions for safety and comfort using AV equipment
- Educate patients on procedures and provide reassurance throughout the process
- Place wedges or blocks as needed to customize treatments
