Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment

Assemble and prepare instrument trays and surgical sets according to procedure requirements
-
Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety standards
-
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and machinery
-
Maintain accurate instrument tracking and documentation using systems like CensiTrac
-
Inspect instruments for functionality, cleanliness, and defects
-
Collaborate with Operating Room (OR) staff to ensure timely case readiness
-
Manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
-
Follow proper handling and storage procedures for sterile supplies
Requirements
-
Minimum 3-4 years of Sterile Processing experience (REQUIRED)
-
Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing program
-
BLS certification (REQUIRED)
-
CRST or CBSPD certification (REQUIRED)
-
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and instrument handling
-
Experience working in high-volume surgical settings
-
Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain attention to detail
