Summary


Quantum Pharma Solutions Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is searching for an experienced PIC for one of its Georgia locations. The new hire will have the primary responsibility for the effective oversight of pharmacy operations, pharmacy business permitting and operational licensures and serves as the Pharmacist in Charge for the Georgia site. This position requires in-depth knowledge and vast experience in Retail, Non-Sterile Compounding, Government Services, Veterinary, and Medication Therapy Management. The manager shall also provide direct supervision to additional new hires: pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, support personnel; and interns.


Further responsibilities include administration and management of pharmacy programs including but not limited to assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a disease state formulary system; utilization management programs; retail and compounding pharmacy management; specialty pharmacy management; client relationships and support; and development of innovative clinical programs.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for enacting policies and procedures for all aspects of daily pharmacy practice to ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Assure all pharmacy personnel licensures, certifications and registrations are maintained as current.
  • Obtain and maintain all required pharmacy licenses and permits required for the pharmacy and responsible for maintaining all licenses in good standing.
  • Practice within scope of licensure and maintain active licensures.
  • Responsible for daily completion of all activities related to dispensing prescriptions in accordance with the organization's policies and all applicable laws.
  • Coordinate the daily workload and workflow between departments to ensure smooth operations and workflow at the location.
  • Ensure effective communication between all operational departments.
  • Supervise staff including responsibility for recruiting and performance management.
  • Works with the Director of Pharmacy Operations to plan and execute budgeted expenditures.
  • Provide oversight of the pharmacy quality assurance and improvement program to ensure operational compliance.
  • Have a general understanding of and perform in compliance with all applicable accreditation standard practices including Specialty Pharmacy URAC standards, ACHC Specialty Pharmacy, NABP digital pharmacy.
  • Plays an active role in the orientation and training of new pharmacy staff and may act as a resident preceptor for pharmacy interns as requested.
  • Serves as a clinical resource to Sales and Marketing and assist with client presentations.
  • Supports and complies with company’s procurement and inventory control procedures.
  • Ensures pharmacy dispensing is compliant with insurance authorization procedures relative to each patient dispense and provides support to the reimbursement team for insurance audits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, including those required to ensure comply with state and federal reporting on all controlled substances dispensed.
  • Obtains additional state pharmacy licenses as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.


Qualifications and Skills:


· Requires a degree in pharmacy.

· Must be registered as a Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Georgia.

· Must have multiple active unrestricted state licensures or be eligible to become licensed in states in which patient pharmacy services are provided.

· At least three (3) years of experience as a pharmacist with PIC and operational responsibility background and including at least two (2) years at a supervisory level

· Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures with a focus on mail-order pharmacy

· 340B knowledge is a plus

· Ability to connect with the local community.

· Concise understanding and application of all federal and state pharmacy laws with a thorough understanding of compliance measures, and ensure privacy and confidentiality as required by HIPAA, company, and department guidelines.

· Knowledge of USP 795 - Non-Sterile Compounding

· Knowledge and understanding of all MTM program components - Medication Therapy Review – Comprehensive and Targeted; Personal Medication List (PML); Medication-Related Action Plan (MAP); Interventions and Referrals; and Documentation of Services and Follow-up.

· Clear and concise communication skills.

· Must be an excellent listener and compassionate provider.

· Strong and compassionate conflict resolution skills.

· Self-starter with strong organization skills.

· Strong Computer/Technology Competency:

· Strong clinical therapeutic skills and demonstration of knowledge of appropriate medication dosing.

· Proven ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, be self-directed and possess excellent organizational skills.

· Experience with formulary analysis and management.

· Experience reviewing and managing formularies.

· Experience with group presentation.


Compensation


The typical pay range for this role is:

$54.00-$60/hour


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
