OPERATIONS MANAGER — IronLine Exteriors
Murfreesboro, TN | Full-Time | $120K - $220K+ Total Compensation
About IronLine Exteriors
IronLine Exteriors is a new roofing and exterior services company launching in the Nashville/Murfreesboro market, backed by an ownership team with 15+ years and $100M+ in construction and real estate development experience. We’re building a platform-scale exterior services company from the ground up — and we need the right Operations Manager to be the cornerstone of that build.
This isn’t a job at a company that’s been around for 20 years and needs someone to fill a seat. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build something from scratch with an owner who has the capital, the business infrastructure, and the vision to scale aggressively.
The Role
We’re looking for a seasoned roofing professional who can sell roofs AND run operations. You’ll be our first hire — which means you’ll have direct input on how this company is built, from estimating processes to crew selection to marketing strategy.
In the first 6-12 months, you’ll spend 60-70% of your time in the field: running inspections, delivering estimates, closing contracts, and building our customer base. The other 30-40% will be spent building the operational backbone: recruiting and managing sub crews, establishing supplier relationships, implementing our CRM (AccuLynx), and training future hires.
As the company grows, your role shifts from player to coach. You’ll hire and develop a sales team, oversee production managers, and run day-to-day operations while the CEO focuses on growth strategy and business development.
What You’ll Do
- Sell residential roof replacements and repairs in the Murfreesboro/Nashville metro area
- Conduct roof inspections using aerial measurement tools (EagleView, RoofScope) and in-person assessments
- Build and present professional estimates using AccuLynx
- Manage the full project lifecycle: contract to material order to install to payment collection
- Recruit, vet, and manage subcontractor crews for tear-off and installation
- Ensure every job meets IronLine quality standards and manufacturer specifications
- Work with insurance adjusters on storm damage claims and supplements
- Order materials from QXO, ABC Supply, and other distributors
- Enforce OSHA safety standards on every job site
- Collect Google reviews from every satisfied customer
- Report weekly KPIs: leads, appointments, contracts, installs, revenue, margins
- Train and develop future sales reps and production staff as the company scales
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in residential roofing (required — general construction experience alone is not sufficient)
- Proven track record selling $500K+ in roofing annually with verifiable references
- Experience managing roofing production: crews, schedules, materials, QC
- Expertise in both retail roofing and insurance restoration/storm damage
- Existing relationships with sub crews in the Middle Tennessee market (strongly preferred)
- Comfortable with technology: CRM systems, aerial measurements, digital estimating
- GAF, Owens Corning, or CertainTeed certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license with clean record
- Ability to climb ladders, walk roofs, and perform physical inspections
- Self-starter mentality — you don’t wait to be told what to do
Compensation
- Base salary: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
- Sales commission: 8-12% on personally sold and collected revenue (uncapped)
- Quarterly performance bonuses: up to $9,500 per quarter based on company and individual metrics
- Year 1 total compensation range: $120,000 - $220,000+ depending on sales production
- Company truck, fuel card, phone, and laptop provided
- All manufacturer training and certification costs covered
- Equity/profit-sharing discussion after 12 months based on performance
