\n Travel ER RN — Lincoln, IL | 13-week night shift travel nurse assignment (Cerner, ACLS, PALS). Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Lincoln, Illinois. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers a chance to work in a dynamic community hospital Emergency Department (adult & pediatric) and care for a diverse patient population while living in a friendly, historic city with easy access to outdoor recreation.\n

\n\nTravel Nurse Job Details\n

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 – $1,940\n
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)\n
  • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:30 – 07:00), Friday/Saturday/Sunday — ideal for experienced night shift ER RNs and travel nurses\n
  • Hours per Week: 36\n
  • Setting: General Emergency Department – Combined Adult/Pediatric (Emergency Department RN role)\n
  • Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics\n
  • Charting System: Cerner (experience with Cerner required)\n
  • Guaranteed Hours: Up to 36 hours may be called off per 13-week assignment\n
  • Orientation: 36 hours\n

\n\nER RN Requirements\n

    \n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) experience\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)\n
  • Active Illinois RN license required at time of application (Illinois nursing jobs)\n
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)\n
  • Experience with Cerner electronic charting system\n
  • Ability to care for patients across all age groups in a fast-paced Emergency Department\n
  • Willingness to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)\n
  • Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment\n

\n\nER RN Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department\n
  • Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for a wide range of conditions including trauma, medical emergencies, and psychiatric crises\n
  • Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, blood products, and manage ventilated patients\n
  • Interpret arterial blood gases, manage dysrhythmias, and perform 12-lead EKGs\n
  • Manage acute conditions such as CVA, overdoses, burns, respiratory failure, seizures, and traumatic injuries\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner charting system and adhere to charting best practices\n
  • Adhere to isolation precautions, infection control, and PPE protocols\n
  • Participate in orientation and complete required modules by assigned deadlines\n
