Job DescriptionCMM Programmer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site role in a machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. Working the day shift from 5:30am to 2pm, you will be pivotal in ensuring our manufacturing process adheres to quality standards. Pay will be based on experience ($38-$48 an hour with option to higher pay if qualified $50+). Need to have Calypso programming experience.
Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating effectively with team members and management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Communicate quality issues with team members and management.
- Write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Write AS9100 First Article Reports.
- Integrate with Net Inspect.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
- Experience in CMM programming and operation using Zeiss Calypso.
- Ability to write CMM programs from Customer supplied .stp and Catia files.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with aerospace products strongly preferred.
- Firm understanding and demonstrated use of shop math, reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning tolerance.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations and prepare associated documentation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
