Job Description

Job Summary

The Section Coordinator supports hospital laboratory operations by performing testing, ensuring quality control compliance, assisting in staff training, and helping maintain regulatory standards. This role also provides leadership support to ensure smooth daily lab operations.

Key Responsibilities - J

Perform STAT laboratory testing and analyze patient samples
Conduct and document quality control procedures per protocol
Assist in staff training and competency development
Prioritize and delegate lab testing based on patient needs and workload
Support compliance with CAP and other regulatory standards
Provide operational updates and feedback to lab leadership
Promote teamwork and lead by example within the lab team

Requirements

Associate Degree in Science (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (Preferred)
Minimum 3 years of Medical Technologist experience (Required)
State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License (Required)
ASCP certification (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of lab operations, QC, and regulatory standards
