Addison Group is hiring a Scheduling Supervisor on behalf of one of our healthcare clients located in Boardman, Ohio. This organization is experiencing continued growth and is expanding its leadership team to support high-volume scheduling, referral, and patient access operations. Job Description:
The Scheduling Supervisor will lead and oversee ambulatory scheduling, surgical and procedural scheduling, and referral coordination across multiple service lines. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling operations, strong team performance, and a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily scheduling and referral operations across ambulatory, surgical, and procedural services
- Lead, coach, and support a large team including multiple team leads and coordinators
- Monitor productivity and access metrics, identifying opportunities for workflow improvement
- Resolve escalated scheduling and referral issues in a timely manner
- Partner with physicians, clinical teams, and operational leaders to optimize patient access
- Coordinate surgical and procedural schedules based on provider orders, capacity, and resources
- Manage physician block utilization and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Ensure referral documentation is accurate, complete, and processed efficiently
- Maintain appropriate staffing coverage and approve payroll, PTO, and overtime
- Participate in EMR updates, workflow assessments, and onboarding of new practices
- Support compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare
- Background in scheduling, patient access, or referral management
- Experience supporting revenue cycle operations or process improvement initiatives
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated leader who takes initiative and leads by example
Additional Details:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Onsite role in a professional office environment
- Schedule: 8:30am–5:00pm with flexible start time options
- EMR experience preferred (Meditech exposure a plus)
