Occupational Therapist Medical Leave Position (On-Site) Burnsville, MN Area
A medical leave Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in the Burnsville, MN area, serving multiple elementary schools. This is a contract position beginning April 6th through the end of the school year on June 6th, with possible Extended School Year (ESY) needs determined in May. The role involves providing direct OT services across three school sites within an elementary caseload, focusing on pediatric students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services in an on-site setting across three elementary school locations including an early learning school, a special education classroom setting, and a resource setting.
- Collaborate with another OT at the early learning site to split caseload responsibilities.
- Support students with social communication needs, fine motor skills development, and other occupational therapy goals.
- Conduct and complete the majority of new evaluations and re-evaluations for incoming students.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with educators, families, and school staff to ensure individualized support.
- Serve students in various educational settings including general and special education classrooms.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in school-based therapy services.
- Background or familiarity with pediatric populations and caseload management in school settings.
- Ability to support students with a range of social, communication, and motor skill needs.
- Strong organizational and evaluation skills.
- Reliable and committed to on-site service delivery with flexibility for multiple school locations.
