Position: Sales Manager – Industrial Services
IEM is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to accelerate business growth and lead a dynamic, high-performing sales team. This role provides the chance to shape sales strategy, mentor motivated professionals, and play a key role in strengthening IEM's impact and presence in the industrial services market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets, contributing directly to the company's growth.
- Set individual sales quotas and performance metrics for both outside and inside sales team members.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative approaches to penetrate target industries.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of two Outside Sales Representatives and one Inside Sales Representative.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance effectiveness.
- Facilitate sales training and development programs to strengthen product knowledge, selling skills, and customer relationship management.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
Revenue Generation & Client Acquisition
- Drive the sales team to achieve the Annual Company Team Revenue Target.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Actively support the team in identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Engage directly with key customers to support complex deal closings and ensure smooth onboarding.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets and KPIs.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analyses for senior management.
- Ensure the team's adherence to sales processes, CRM utilization, and accurate reporting.
Profitability Management
- Ensure sales are conducted at healthy gross profit margins, aligned with company profitability goals.
Marketing Collaboration
- Work with the marketing team to develop effective sales enablement materials, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
- Provide market feedback to refine messaging and identify new product/service opportunities.
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and marketing activities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5–7 years of progressive sales experience in industrial services, including at least 2–3 years in sales management or team leadership.
- Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience managing both outside and inside sales teams.
- Familiarity with new product introductions and distribution in a sales context.
Skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Strategic planning and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of the electric motor industrial services market and sales dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
