Job Description

Claim Discovery Specialist

We enhance the efficiency of plaintiff discovery by carefully preparing and managing Plaintiff Fact Sheets (PFS), Plaintiff Profile Forms (PPF), Census Forms, and other forms of interrogatories. Utilizing electronic data and signature capture speeds up processing and reduces administrative workload. Our team ensures timely and organized document production and prompt handling of deficiency responses to minimize the risk of early dismissal.

Summary

The Claim Discovery Specialist supports all aspects of litigation by managing claimant discovery, reviewing case documentation, analyzing claim eligibility, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered discovery requirements. This role works closely with the Senior Discovery Manager, discovery team, attorneys, claimants, and vendors to collect, organize, and evaluate records and discovery materials throughout the litigation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate possesses strong litigation management skills, experience in mass torts, product liability, personal injury, or medical malpractice matters, and the ability to handle high-volume discovery workflows across multiple dockets.


Qualifications & Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and discovery obligations.
  • Experience reviewing medical records and legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze claimant files for completeness, eligibility, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage Plaintiff Fact Sheets (PFS), Plaintiff Profile Forms (PPF), Census Forms, questionnaires, and other forms of interrogatories to ensure discovery compliance.
  • Track discovery deadlines, deficiencies, and case-specific requirements.
  • Collect, organize, and review medical, pharmacy, and other claim-related records.
  • Identify missing documentation and coordinate follow-up efforts with claimants.
  • Maintain accurate case management records.
  • Assist with the preparation and production of discovery responses and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor claim progress throughout the discovery phase.
  • Ensure compliance with Case Management Orders (CMOs) and litigation protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for claimants during the discovery process, providing updates on claim status.
  • Communicate claim-related information and case updates to supervisors.
  • Perform administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.

Other Details

  • Full-time, onsite position.
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Base salary: $50,000–$60,000, depending on experience.
  • Additional $3,000 annual salary differential for Spanish speakers (pending assessment).
  • Bi-weekly incentive bonus opportunities of up to $900, based on discovery items completed during the bonus period.
