Job DescriptionPosition: CT Technologist – Contract

Location: New York, NY 10025
Unit: Radiology – CT Scan Diagnostic
Duration: 9 Weeks

Schedule:

• Shift: Evening Shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
• Days: Monday – Friday + Every Other Weekend
• Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Compensation:

• Travel Pay: $70 – $80/hour (based on experience)
• Local Pay: $60 – $65/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in a hospital radiology setting. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, maintain imaging quality standards, and adhere to all regulatory and radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans using appropriate kV and mA techniques.
• Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment.
• Administer contrast injections as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and patient imaging records.
• Follow radiation safety standards in compliance with ALARA principles.
• Perform quality assurance and safety testing of imaging equipment.
• Manage imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
• Order, receive, and verify radiopharmaceutical doses as required.

Work Setting:

• Hospital-based radiology department
• CT imaging and diagnostic services

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
• ARRT Certification (Radiography & CT) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Injection certification required

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and techniques
• Experience with quality assurance and documentation processes
• Understanding of radiation safety standards and best practices

Facility Requirements:

• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (medical exemptions only)
• Flu Vaccination: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
