Job Description
Patriot Enterprises will provide transition assistance, information, training, counseling, and services to eligible Service members within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Transition and Economic Development (TED).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of curriculum development for TAP modules including VA Benefits and Services, MLC, Women's Health, New Hire Training, and Refresher Training, ensuring alignment with ISD methodology and Bloom's Revised Taxonomy.
- Serve as the primary liaison for curriculum-related coordination with VA Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Manage 508 testing and remediation for all training products. Ensure all deliverables meet quality assurance standards and are compatible with platforms such as SCORM, Adobe Connect, and Blackboard.
- Supervise instructional designers, editors, and multimedia specialists. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of curriculum packages and updates.
- Maintain a curriculum development tracker and submit monthly reports detailing progress, coordination activities, pilot testing outcomes, and any issues requiring escalation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in the field of curriculum development
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in managing curriculum projects relevant to duties and responsibilities of this program.
- Experience in managing curriculum development programs, including course materials, script, exercises, and classroom or self-study manuals and other teaching aids.
- Experience with design and redesign of education and training content to support participant engagement and understanding of material presented; expertise with adult learning methodologies, expertise with e-learning development, instructional theories, models and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a favorable fingerprint check (SAC) adjudicated by VBA Personnel Security Office (PERSEC).
- Ability to pass a background investigation and must receive a favorable adjudication from the VA Personnel Security and Adjudication Center (PSAC).
- Proficiency in using office automation equipment and software.
- Possess sufficient written and verbal communication skills to support the VA.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct which portrays the VA positively.
- U.S. Citizen or Alien Registration that authorizes work in the U.S.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
