About the Role

The Landscape Construction Manager plays a critical leadership role overseeing landscape construction crews, complex projects, and field personnel. This position is ideal for a highly experienced construction professional with strong earth-moving, surveying, and site layout experience, as the Superintendent will be responsible for managing, checking, and verifying work in the field. Projects completed out of our Voorhees facility span South Jersey and Center City Philadelphia and require a hands-on leader who can accurately interpret plans, manage crews, and ensure projects are executed to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage landscape construction crews and multiple job sites
  • Perform and verify surveying layouts, site surveys, and site layout
  • Read and interpret scale-offs, construction plans, and grading plans
  • Utilize survey equipment, laser levels, and layout tools to accurately set grades and material placement
  • Oversee earth-moving operations and construction activities
  • Conduct pre-construction walkthroughs with designers and clients
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety compliance
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members (including teaching layout and construction techniques)
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects, labor, equipment, and materials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of landscape construction experience as a Foreman or in a related leadership role
  • Strong background in construction, with demonstrated experience in surveying layout and site grading
  • Proficiency with survey equipment and laser levels, and the ability to accurately layout materials in the field
  • Experience managing and overseeing crews of 510 employees
  • Degree or certification in a landscape-related field preferred
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to meet or exceed quality and safety expectations
  • Physically able to walk, bend, lift, and carry 4080 lbs
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
