Job DescriptionOverviewWe are partnering with a well-established commercial and industrial construction firm to identify an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to support continued growth across Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in design-build environments, understands metal building systems and steel construction, and is comfortable owning projects from pre-construction through closeout. The firm has been operating for decades, is known for quality and reliability, and places strong value on project ownership, accountability, and long-term cultural fit.The Role:The Project Manager / Estimator will oversee commercial and industrial construction projects with a strong emphasis on pre-engineered metal buildings, steel erection, and design-build delivery. This individual will play a key role in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating all project stakeholders to ensure successful execution.Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Lead or support estimating efforts, including budgeting and cost controls
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
Ideal Candidate Background
- Proven experience in commercial and industrial construction project management
- Strong exposure to one or more of the following:
- Pre-engineered metal buildings
- Steel structures and steel erection
- Design-build project delivery
- Solid understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing field execution
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Engineering background or exposure to PE-led environments is a plus, but not required
