· Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000

A well-established professional services organization supporting complex government and infrastructure projects is seeking a Project Accountant to join its growing finance team.
This role offers the opportunity to partner with project managers and operational leadership while supporting financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and project performance across a diverse portfolio.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in project accounting, project finance, or project controls out of Gov Con
· Experience out of Government Contracting
· Advanced Excel , including complex formulas, reporting, and financial analysis.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Support project setup to ensure alignment with contractual requirements and internal reporting standards.
· Prepare and maintain project financial forecasts, including Estimate at Complete (EAC) models, to monitor funding, revenue, and project costs.
· Track labor and non-labor expenses while monitoring project financial performance.
· Prepare monthly financial reports, budget-to-actual analyses, and variance reporting.
· Analyze financial data using Excel, SharePoint, and reporting tools to support business decisions.
· Maintain the accuracy and integrity of project financial data across multiple systems.
· Provide routine financial reporting and updates to project managers and operational leadership.
· Maintain project documentation to support compliance, audits, and contractual requirements.
· Support daily financial operations, including reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of unbilled balances, and backlog reporting.
· Assist with cash forecasting and reconciliation activities.
· Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Assist with cost proposals, contract modifications, engineering change proposals (ECPs), and other project financial initiatives.Track project funding and coordinate funding requests with Contracts and Operations teams.
