Job DescriptionPayroll Specialist | Overland Park, KS


LHH is working with a client in Overland Park, KS, who is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Process and manage weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for construction employees.

· Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.

· Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

· Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposit statements.

· Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

· Prepare payroll reports for management.

· Assist with year-end payroll procedures and reporting.

· Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

· Collaborate with HR and accounting departments.


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the construction industry.

· Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

· Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.


Job Details:

· Job Title: Payroll Specialist

· Location: Overland Park, KS

· Compensation: $28-32ph.

· Job Type: Direct Hire

· Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, FULLY ONSITE

· Benefits: Health, Dental, LTD/STD



Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
