Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) K-12 Contract Position
Location: Fort Gratiot, MI
Duration: August 25, 2025 June 4, 2026 | Full Time

A K-12 school district in Fort Gratiot, MI is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (MI SLP-CCC) to provide comprehensive speech and language services for students throughout the academic year. This full-time contract role focuses on evaluating, planning, and delivering speech-language services aligned with educational goals to support student success from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students speech and language abilities and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) based on Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) findings.
  • Prepare and present detailed written evaluation reports to parents/guardians and the local educational agency (LEA).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, ancillary staff, and families to ensure effective program implementation and continuous student progress.
  • Provide consultation and training to educators and caregivers, enhancing understanding and support for speech-language needs.
  • Complete Medicaid and other mandated reporting in compliance with district and state guidelines.
  • Work closely with paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians, or Licensed Practical Nurses for supervision support as provided by the district.

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to student-focused service and adherence to regulatory requirements.
