Administrative Assistant

A small, multi-faceted South Central Pennsylvania firm is looking for an organized, motivated,
and detail oriented administrative person to assist in managing three businesses under one roof.

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word and Excel in particular
  • Telephone Etiquette – listening and responding appropriately
  • Effective communicator – verbally and written (correspondence, emails, etc.), including correct punctuation, proper grammar, and professional tone
  • Adept at storing and retrieving files – physically and on a computer
  • Transcription from dictated information
  • Bookkeeping experience – writing checks, making deposits, reconciling accounts using company software
  • Familiarity with financial accounting, and tax software a plus, but not required
  • Transcribing
  • Dictation

Administrative Assistant

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation for three businesses.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying.
  • Transcribing correspondence from dictation.
  • Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Bookkeeping experience – writing checks, making deposits, reconciling accounts using company software
  • Familiarity with financial accounting, and tax software a plus, but not required

Work Hours and benefits:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Comprehensive benefit package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Eligible for company profit sharing plan after one year of employment.
  • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • 3 years of administrative assistant experience
