Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuclear Medicine & PET) - Houston, TX (Onsite) | Recent Graduates Welcome | Starting at $53/hr

Schedule: Wed-Sat (FT hours; exact times as per assignment)
Starting Rate: $53.00/hour (based on experience)

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures using established protocols and regulatory standards

  • Radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, and documentation with strong ALARA radiation safety practices

  • Patient interviewing, assessment, IV insertion, point-of-care testing, and post-procedure education

  • Screening patients for implanted devices and securing appropriate clearance for clinical/research imaging

  • Patient monitoring during procedures; ability to recognize distress and initiate emergency response when needed

  • Strong infection control and radiation safety practices to protect patients, staff, and environment

  • Accurate documentation in RIS, PACS, and related imaging systems

  • Ability to identify critical findings and communicate promptly with interpreting radiologists

  • Quality assurance testing and independent operation of Nuclear Medicine, PET, CT, and hot lab equipment

  • Commitment to productivity, workflow efficiency, and continuous quality improvement

  • Collaborative mindset with willingness to train/mentor students and staff

  • Consistent adherence to HIPAA and applicable accreditation/regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, ACR, state/federal)

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in an academic medical center and/or research-focused imaging environment

  • Additional certifications: PET, ACLS, PALS/PEARS
