Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in San Mateo, CA, this opportunity offers a contract position as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in elementary school caseloads. This role is designed to cover a maternity leave from late January through the end of the school year, functioning full-time with a schedule of 3-4 days per week.
Key qualifications and desired experience include:
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Credentials such as CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, adapting therapy to meet student needs
- Ability to manage and treat elementary school-aged children with speech and language difficulties
Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to elementary school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and communication development
- Document sessions and maintain accurate records adhering to school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success plans
- Provide therapy 3-4 days per week throughout the maternity leave period, ensuring continuity of care
