Make a difference as an Education Coach.
As an Education Coach at Utah Community Action, your primary role is to support teachers in their professional growth. You will build good relationships with teachers so they feel supported and valued. You will work with them to create personalized plans to improve their skills. This teamwork helps teachers succeed and enhances the learning experience for students. You will also focus on your own learning to stay updated and improve your skills.
What matters most
To succeed as an Education Coach at Utah Community Action, a strong set of skills and qualifications is necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Studies, or a related field with an emphasis on Early Childhood is required to provide a solid educational foundation. Candidates should also have at least one year of experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or other early childhood programs, as this experience will guide their coaching techniques and methods. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial for building effective relationships with teaching staff, encouraging open communication, and fostering collaboration. Additionally, proficiency in various educational software and tools is essential for supporting professional development planning and assessment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Studies, or a related field with an emphasis on Early Childhood
- 1 year of Head Start/Early Head Start experience or other Early Childhood-related experience
