CNC Machinist | Manistee, MI
Salary Range: $52,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Manistee that are seeking skilled CNC Machinists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of parts using various measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.
- Load and unload materials, adjust machine offsets, and replace worn tooling as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and G-code.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with CAM software for program generation and optimization.
