Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Medical Step-Down Unit (MSDU). This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level critical care support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a step-down/PCU environment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, including IV therapies and titrated infusions
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support, including oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Respond to emergencies using rapid response/code protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
• Follow infection control and isolation precautions
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality care at all times

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York RN License (in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in PCU, Step-Down, or Med-Surg setting
• BLS Certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
