Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technician with strong imaging skills, based in Grand Blanc, MI. This contract role offers a chance to apply your specialized knowledge of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology in a dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities include monitoring diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures, intervening during lethal arrhythmias in line with ACLS standards, and accurately recording catheterization events. You will assist with orientation and training of new Cath Lab staff and may participate in special projects and relevant committees. A thorough understanding of ECG interpretation, cardiac medications, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation is essential. Proficiency in identifying coronary anatomy, cardiac pressure waveforms, and utilizing advanced catheterization equipment will support clinical interventions and patient care.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac pathologies, ECG waveform recognition, and pharmacokinetics of cardiac medications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Ability to identify and operate extraction devices and imaging technologies, including intravascular ultrasound
- Familiarity with electrophysiologic testing and cardiac device implantations
