NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking an experienced Environmental Business Unit Manager to lead and grow our Environmental Services practice based out of our Kennesaw, Georgia corporate headquarters. This leadership role will oversee a team of approximately five (5) direct reports and support projects throughout Georgia and the greater Southeast.
This position is ideal for a seasoned environmental professional who thrives in a people leadership, client-facing, and technical oversight role, and who is motivated to grow business, mentor staff, and serve as a Senior Technical Reviewer on complex environmental projects.

Essential Functions:
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of approximately five (5) environmental professionals
- Overseeing the execution of environmental projects, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, proposals, and client correspondence
- Providing environmental consulting services related to: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, Brownfields documentation (Applications, Work Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Voluntary Cleanup Contracts, etc.), Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch (IHSB) notifications and related regulatory coordination
- Developing, maintaining, and expanding client relationships
- Leading business development, sales, and marketing efforts to grow the Environmental Business Unit
- Preparing proposals, scopes of work, and contract documents
- Collaborating with other NOVA business units and leadership to support company-wide goals and initiatives
- Assisting and mentoring other NOVA team members to promote professional growth and the overall objectives of the company
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- 10+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license is highly preferred
- Demonstrated project experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Proven experience managing staff and leading environmental projects
- Strong client-facing, communication, and business development skills
