Location: Mansfield, MA
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $28–32/hr
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for charging, testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of refrigeration systems used in environmental test equipment. This position requires technical expertise, precision, and hands-on experience with complex systems such as single stage, cascade, and multiple stage refrigeration units.
This position is located in an ITAR-regulated facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Charge, test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems using blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Assist engineers with test formulation, evaluation plans, and procedures to ensure accuracy of refrigeration system performance.
- Fabricate, assemble, test, and repair cascade and multiple stage refrigeration systems for environmental test chambers.
- Perform leak testing on lines, components, and connections using leak detectors.
- Evacuate systems to remove air and moisture, then charge with specified refrigerant.
- Record and analyze pressure and temperature readings during system testing.
- Diagnose and repair defective refrigeration systems at all levels of assembly.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician (not maintenance/repair only).
- EPA Certification.
- Proficiency in brazing techniques.
Preferred:
- Background in HVAC or related technical field.
