There are currently three full-time openings, with flexibility for those seeking part-time schedules (3-4 days per week). Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland School Psychologist certification required
- Strong background in school psychology practices and principles
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, providing counseling, and developing intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and parents
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering positive outcomes for students across diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess student needs and promote academic success
- Provide individual and group counseling for students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
- Consult with school staff regarding strategies to support positive learning environments
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal special education requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise on eligibility and program development
