Position Summary:
The Catering Specialist plays a key role in representing Firehouse Subs by coordinating, preparing, and delivering catering orders with accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that every catering experience reflects the Firehouse Subs standard of quality and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet catering clients in a professional and friendly manner, providing outstanding customer service.
  • Accurately take catering orders in person, by phone, or online, ensuring all details (menu items, portions, special requests, delivery instructions, deadlines) are correct.
  • Prepare and package catering orders to brand standards for presentation, freshness, and accuracy.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure on-time arrival to customers.
  • Safely transport and set up catering orders at designated locations, ensuring professional presentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Firehouse Subs menu, catering packages, and promotions to upsell and maximize sales.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized catering prep areas, storage, and delivery vehicle.
  • Communicate with management and team members regarding catering timelines, needs, and challenges.
  • Marketing and promoting catering services to local businesses, organizations, and events.

Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant, food service, or catering experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if delivery is required).
  • Ability to lift/carry catering supplies (up to 40 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and some holidays.
  • ServSafe: Food Protection Manager Certification (preferred)
