Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.

An opportunity exists for a skilled educator specializing in deaf and hard of hearing students within a dynamic K-12 school environment. Located in Denver, CO, this contract position is set for the full school year, allowing for the development and implementation of impactful educational strategies tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Deaf Education or related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification or endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
• Experience teaching K-12 students, particularly in inclusive settings.
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with staff and families.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, adapting instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and relevant training opportunities.
