Position Summary: This experienced Engineering role involves planning and conducting independent work in the conveyor and automation engineering field for material handling systems. Responsibilities include leading and supporting multiple projects, preparing/modifying drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with engineering practices and codes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and lead projects from Operations Design through Detail Design and Implementation phases, including RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed conveying design, equipment ordering, and installation support.
- Manage engineering budget, schedule, and project success, ensuring business case satisfaction.
- Explore and support alternative design concepts, providing proactive communication and leadership.
- Attend and document project and client meetings, conduct site visits, and interface with contractors.
- Coordinate onsite engineering support during installation and commissioning, and manage project close-out and documentation.
General:
- Maintain project utilization and adhere to standards.
- Attend training and respond to communications promptly.
- Expand knowledge of industry best practices and technology.
- Support documentation and procedure enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 7 years of experience, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in leading meetings and design sessions.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and work remotely.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-20%)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain logistics, material handling equipment, and project management.
- Knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks
