Orthopedic sports medicine physician practice looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Patient Scheduling team Lead.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsibilities: In addition to being able to adequately perform all Non-Team-Lead Scheduling and PBX duties, the Scheduling Team Lead role will:
Serve as a resource for all scheduling and referral team members by fielding questions
and providing adequate resolutions and answers to the staff initiating questions.
. Ensure staff members can process referrals and out-process patient calls timely and
accurately.
· Assist Director of Patient Experience in developing scripting for the team, as well as
ensuring compliance and overall performance of team.
· Provide new hire training and guidance during the initial hire onboarding period for new
staff as it relates to the operations and performance of the role.
. Assist Director of Patient Experience in the interview and selection process of new staff.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Two to Five years of scheduler experience
Performance Requirements:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of medical scheduling practices and regulations, both external and internal.
· Ability to communicate in a professional manner with outside representatives to resolve
patient accounts.
· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
· Ability to analyze and understand complex written communication.
· Ability to handle multiple projects while working scheduler duties.
· Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and basis computer skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of medical practice NextGen HER software (preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance benefit structures
- MS Office, basic office support skills (telephone, filing, data entry) and basic math skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, pleasant personality and customer service skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of experience working in an office, clerical or medical facility.
Experience with electronic scheduling system and electronic medical records (EMR) required.
