Position: Warehouse Keg Picker

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 10:00 A.M – 8:30 P.M (Day Shift) or 6:00 P.M – 4:30 A.M (Night Shift)

Starting Pay: $17.65 (Day Shift) or $17.95 (Night Shift)

Job Summary

The Beer Keg Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing beer kegs for shipment to customers. This position plays an important role in warehouse operations by ensuring orders are picked up accurately, staged properly, and ready for timely delivery. The Beer Keg Picker must maintain a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and product quality while working in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role requires the ability to work in a cold box for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately select and pick beer kegs from warehouse cold box shelves based on customer orders and delivery requirements.
  • Safely stage and prepare kegs for loading and transportation to ensure orders are ready for scheduled deliveries.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by ensuring kegs are stored properly and organized within the warehouse.
  • Inspect kegs for damage or defects and report any discrepancies or damaged items to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all kegs are properly labeled and stored according to company standards.
  • Follow safety procedures for lifting, carrying, and handling kegs to prevent injury and product damage.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks as needed.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff, loaders, drivers, and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Complete necessary paperwork or digital logs related to inventory, picking, and shipping
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a lower temperature environment (cold box) for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure orders are picked accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe lifting practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience, preferably in beverage or food distribution.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or cherry picker equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems or distribution processes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards in warehouse environments.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a warehouse cold box environment with exposure to low temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in cold conditions for extended periods during a 10-hour shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy kegs and materials.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring attention to safety, efficiency, and accuracy.
