Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. In this role, you will document the company’s financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and manage payroll. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting. MUST currently reside in Memphis, TN and available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Enter financial data and transactions
- Analyze budgets and other financial information
- Prepare federal and state individual and business income tax returns.
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
- Prepare trial balances and adjusting journal entries
- Meet with clients and their accounting team
- Participate in strategic planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Valid CPA certification in compliance with the state Board of Accountancy regulations
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
