A middle school in Norristown, PA is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher to provide instruction in 7th and 8th grade math. This contract position spans the entire school year and focuses on supporting students through specialized math curricula, notably Math 180.

Candidates should hold a valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certification in Special Education. While not mandatory, an additional certification in Middle School Math is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those with prior experience teaching Special Education math at the middle school level, demonstrating the ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored math instruction to 7th and 8th grade students with special education needs using the Math 180 curriculum
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students academic goals
• Utilize assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general education teachers, counselors, and administrators

Qualifications:
