We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Director of Nursing to support the clinical leadership of our CHAP accredited Home Health Agency. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN leader with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and survey readiness who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a central role in leading accreditation preparedness efforts, ensuring all clinical practices, documentation, and policies meet CHAP standards. This is a key leadership opportunity to make a lasting impact on our agency's quality of care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Director of Nursing and compliance team to ensure all clinical operations, policies, and documentation align with CHAP standards, state regulations, and federal CoPs.
- Organize and facilitate mock surveys, prepare staff for interviews, and conduct regular survey readiness meetings.
- Maintain updated knowledge of CHAP guidelines and ensure timely communication of regulatory changes to staff.
- Develop and monitor clinical documentation review tools to ensure accurate, consistent, and defensible patient records.
- Serve as point of contact for all clinical aspects when Director of Nursing is on scheduled vacation or leave.
Clinical Oversight & Leadership:
- Supervise clinical staff and ensure timely completion of patient assessments, plans of care, and visits.
- Support the DON in managing clinical workflows, staff productivity, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a back-up to the DON.
- Assist in onboarding and training new clinical staff with a focus on compliance, documentation, and agency standards.
- Collaborate with the QAPI committee to identify trends and implement improvement strategies related to survey findings or quality metrics.
- Ensure follow-through on any post-survey plans of correction or quality improvement initiatives.
- Willing to provide patient care when staff coverage is unavailable.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
- Local to the Las Vegas Valley area.
- Prior clinical experience in home health
- Prior experience serving as a director of nursing/assistant director of nursing in a home health setting
- In-depth knowledge of CHAP accreditation standards, Medicare CoPs, and home health regulations.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMRs), specifically with WellSky (previously known as Kinnser).
