Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse & Parts Manager to oversee our parts inventory, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes for a beverage and food equipment service company. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, timely parts distribution to technicians, efficient warehouse organization, and smooth coordination with vendors. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and vendor relations, preferably within the foodservice, beverage, or commercial equipment industry.


Responsibilities


Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring parts and equipment are properly received, stored, organized, and distributed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for warehouse layout, labeling, and storage to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Parts & Supply Chain

  • Manage procurement of parts and supplies from vendors, negotiating pricing and terms when necessary.
  • Track parts usage and forecast demand to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely parts availability for scheduled service calls and emergency repairs.
  • Coordinate returns, warranty claims, and defective part replacements with vendors.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Partner with service dispatch, operations, and accounting teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Implement process improvements to increase accuracy, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize inventory management software/ERP to track and manage parts movement.
  • Generate and review reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and purchasing history.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of warehouse, inventory, or parts management experience (preferably in service or equipment industries).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable conditions.
