LHH is conducting a search on behalf of a well-respected local employer in need of an Accounting Clerk to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a dynamic, mission-driven environment with a strong culture and supportive leadership.
About the Role:
The Accounting Clerk will work directly with the CFO and cross-functional departments to support all aspects of the organization’s financial operations. This includes processing AP/AR, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and eager to contribute to a growing and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and process customer invoices and vendor payments

Code, post, and receipt payments

Perform account and bank reconciliations

Support month-end close processes

Assist with employee expense reports and petty cash tracking

Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and vendor/customer files

Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors

Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed
What We're Looking For:
-
1–2 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable, payroll, or bookkeeping

Strong data entry and financial reporting background

Familiarity with accounting software (Sage experience a plus) and MS Office, especially Excel
-
Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills
-
High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Flexible and team-oriented mindset
Compensation & Schedule:
-
Full-time, onsite role in Albuquerque, NM

Hourly pay based on experience
-
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a paid lunch break

PTO begins at 10 days/year, increasing to 15 days after 3 years of service
