Job Title: Electronic Engineer – X-Ray, C-Arm & Portable X-Ray Repair
Location: Hartford, CT

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 (DOE)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Electronic Engineer focused strictly on repair, not clinical operation. This role is for someone who repairs, troubleshoots, and restores X-ray equipment, not a technologist who operates imaging machines on patients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience diagnosing and fixing electronic and electromechanical issues in X-ray systems, including C-Arms and portable units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair X-ray imaging systems (C-Arm, portable, and fixed units)
- Perform board-level and component-level electronic repairs
- Calibrate systems and perform preventive maintenance after repair
- Interpret schematics, service manuals, and error codes
- Replace and align electronic assemblies, power supplies, sensors, and cabling
- Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
- Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams on complex repairs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proven experience repairing X-ray, C-Arm, or portable X-ray equipment
- Strong electronics troubleshooting skills (analog/digital circuits, power systems)
- Comfortable with diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
- This role is NOT for radiologic technologists or equipment operators
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bench repair or depot repair experience
- Knowledge of radiation safety related to equipment servicing
- Experience working with OEM service documentation
