Shift: Monday thru Friday; 8AM - 5PM
Pay Rate: $38,000 - $42,000 per year DOE

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team! This role is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing vendor invoices, reconciling account statements, and maintaining accurate customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in QuickBooks, strong attention to detail, and the ability to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
The Accounting Clerk will also handle credit approvals, account reconciliations, and collections, while contributing to a positive work environment and continuous process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Set up New Customer Accounts in QB.
  • Process for opening New Accounts.

---Credit Limits (getting approval from GM or Owner)
---Credit References
---Advising Customer of credit terms that have been set.

  • Process all vendor invoices for payment.
  • Produce 3-way matching for all payables.
  • Send A/R statements weekly.
  • Collections on A/R invoices that are past due.
  • Process A/R payments by posting to customer accounts. (credit card, check and lockbox)
  • Ensure all credit card receipts are turned in by month end.
  • Reconcile all credit card statements monthly.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts statements monthly.
  • Process vendor credits for returned or non-conforming materials.
  • Invoice customer jobs.
  • Reconcile Customer Account Statements.
  • Process and issue customer credits after proper internal approval are obtained
  • Reconcile vendor account statements.
  • Develop Method for calculating job cost.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
  • Contribute to a positive environment: communicate and cooperate with all departments professionally and effectively
  • Participate in and encourage continuous improvement ideas, activities and assist in creating and implementing solutions and providing customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial software; experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role may require a background check as part of the hiring process.
