We are seeking a dedicated Wire Harness Assembly Technician to construct and assemble wire harnesses for a new product line. This role involves working closely with the development team to enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improve processes. The technician will be responsible for manual data documentation and inventory maintenance, ensuring the highest quality in the assembly of electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors.
- Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality, ensuring proper connections and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers and quantities.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to achieve production goals.
- Follow technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire.
- Conduct tests and experiments, modifying setups and procedures as necessary.
- Extract and compile engineering data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in design modifications by compiling relevant data concerning design specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
- Experience in building wire harnesses.
- Proficiency in wire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping/stripping wire.
- Ability to read schematics and use a multi-meter.
- Soldering experience.
- Familiarity with panel building, blueprints, and radio frequency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous avionics or military experience as an electronics technician.
- Understanding of NEC or ESD standards.
- Radio frequency experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The facility is climate-controlled and very clean, ensuring a comfortable work setting. Working hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime. The team is small, consisting of 10 technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
