Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced Med/Surg RN with recent EPIC charting experience. The role requires strong medical and post-surgical assessment skills within a 32-bed medical/surgical unit, expanding to 37 beds in early 2025. The patient population consists of a combination of medical and surgical cases, including conditions such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, and wound care management.

Location
This position is based in Rockport, IN, with shifts primarily at a hospital campus. There is a float requirement that includes short notice shifts within the same hospital and the possibility of floating to nearby campuses approximately 8 to 11 miles away. The area's community offers a blend of small-town charm and access to regional amenities, providing a comfortable living environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current active compact RN license
  • Two years of strong medical/surgical nursing experience, including at least one travel assignment
  • Trauma level II experience preferred
  • Recent EPIC electronic charting experience (checkoff class required)
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS
  • Strong skills in IV fluid and antibiotic therapies, heparin drips, wound and wound vac care, and basic telemetry

Schedule and Contract Details

  • 13-week contract beginning on either April 6th or April 20th
  • 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week, with options to accept up to 48 hours
  • Overtime begins after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
  • Weekend coverage required three weekends out of every six-week schedule
  • No on-call or call-back required
