About the job:
The individual will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and gain hands-on exposure to a variety of disciplines within Human Resources. This position is best suited for an individual with an interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources and gaining practical, real-world experience.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department as directed.
· Support the end-to-end leave of absence process, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and other company-specific leaves, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policy.
· Conduct data analysis and generate reports on HR metrics, identifying trends and recommending solutions to improve HR operations.
· Administer various HR programs and policies related to compensation, payroll, and benefits, serving as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
· Support HR system (ADP Workforce Now) maintenance and data integrity efforts.
· Support the Payroll Specialist in processing and auditing payroll inputs, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
· Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
· Develop and maintain HR operations documentation, including process guides and employee resources.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
· Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
· Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university, pursuing a Human Resource or Business-related degree.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Team player.
· Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.
· Ability to work well under pressure and complete ad-hoc assignments in a timely manner.
· Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings.
