Role Description

Lou Hammond Group (LHG) is seeking a Senior PR Account Executive with 5+ years of earned media communications and professional PR experience to work on a fun group of travel/hospitality clients. This position will be full-time within our Denver office. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing client accounts, proactive earned media, developing strategic communication plans, leading client meetings, and the implementation of integrated PR campaigns. Additionally, they will be involved in new business and client development.


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Expertly manage day-to-day client activities (strategy, communication, presentations, deadlines) and client relationships
  • Support client strategy (with President support) and track against monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Communicate with clients to provide counsel, deliver results, foster a positive relationship and manage expectations
  • Consistently deliver top earned media placements in local, regional and national titles
  • Proactive media relations, constantly building new relationships locally, regionally and nationally
  • Organize and escort press trips and media missions
  • Be proactive at offering solutions with the goal of overarching company growth
  • Be a positive representative of LHG when networking and pitching new business — polished, professional, and informed
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, develop strategic/creative thinking
  • Source marketing partnerships/promotion opportunities, support coordination

Qualifications/ Experience

  • BA/BS from a four-year accredited university
  • 5+ years full-time public relations agency or PR-related experience
  • Excellent media relations / track record securing earned placements
  • Self-starter who thrives working both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Personable and relationship driven with clients, media + colleagues; interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong detail and organizational skills, sensitivity to deadlines
  • Creative, high energy, can-do attitude
  • Strong writing skills (AP style), familiar PR software (Muckrack, Cision) and Microsoft Office programs
  • Travel industry knowledge
