Job DescriptionBadger State Staffing is seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our client's growing second shift team. This role requires at least two years of recent MIG welding experience and the ability to read blueprints and work effectively in an environment with changing priorities.Primary Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various metals, adhering to project specifications and quality requirements
- Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and fitting
- Set up and adjust weld equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools to verify dimensions
- Grind down deficient welds and rewelds
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Available Shifts:
- Training extends up to three weeks and will take place from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday. Upon completion, the standard schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM with occasional overtime scheduled on a Friday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of MIG welding experience (carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum of varying thickness highly preferred)
- Previous experience in metal fabrication is a plus
- Knowledge of blueprints, tolerances and weld symbols
- Experience working in ISO 9001 certified environment is beneficial
