My client is a leading aerospace manufacturer and they are growing! They are looking to add a Senior Buyer to their team who will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for electronic components.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for material and electronic components.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities to drive cost savings and improve procurement efficiency in the EMS sector
- Work closely with program management, engineering, and operation teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably within electronics (PCBA's, Semiconductors etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Macola, Syteline, Epicor) and quoting software.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
