Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Special Education Teacher to support students from Pre-K through 2nd grade in a school near Lake City, SC. This contract position spans the 2026/2027 school year, beginning August 10, 2026, and concluding May 21, 2027. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional services tailored to the unique needs of students in early childhood through second grade.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to optimize educational outcomes.
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other educators to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state education standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of South Carolina (mandatory).
- Experience working with Pre-K to 2nd-grade students in special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in special education and individualized instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
