Teachers Now is looking to hire dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to serve schools in the Midland and Odessa area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support your community by providing stability to student learning, contributing to a positive and productive classroom environment when regular teachers are away. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a critical role in maintaining continuity of instruction and supporting student learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers. You will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher

• Create a respectful and well-organized learning environment

• Manage classroom behavior and encourage student participation

• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions

• Assign and review classwork and homework aligned with learning goals

• Record attendance and report concerns to school staff

• Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral outcomes

• For long-term roles, develop and deliver your own lesson plans in alignment with curriculum

Schedule

• Availability: Monday through Friday

• Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Half Day: Between 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Depends on grade level - 4 hour shift)

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED (Required)

• 1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting (preferred)

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Dependable transportation and consistent attendance

Substitute Teacher Compensation (Midland and Odessa, Texas): Starting at $90-110/day (Based on level of education/teacher certification)
